A quality, UV-stabilised commercial-grade shade sail fabric professionally installed will typically last around 10 to 15 years in Sydney conditions, depending on exposure.
Standard shade cloth blocks UV and heat but is breathable, so it is not fully waterproof. If you want rain protection we can supply a waterproof PVC membrane sail instead.
